This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible is powered by a 283ci V8 equipped with Rochester fuel injection and mated to a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in red over a two-tone red and silver interior and features a white convertible soft top. Additional equipment includes 14? steel wheels, rear fender skirts, a Continental kit, a heater, and a push-button AM radio. The car was acquired by the current owner in June 1992 and is said to have been refurbished in California in the late 1990s. This Bel Air convertible is now offered on dealer consignment with spare parts and a clean California title.

The body is said to have been refinished in Matador Red during the aforementioned refurbishment. Further exterior details include twin windsplits mounted atop the hood, front-fender chevrons and fuel-injection badging, gold anodized trim, ribbed-aluminum tail-fin inserts, and body-color rear fender skirts. The white convertible top shows wear.

Body-color 14? steel wheels wear bright covers with faux-spinners and are mounted with 7.50? Firestone Deluxe Champion wide-whitewall tires. A full-size spare is stored in the rear bumper-mounted Continental kit. Monroe shocks are fitted at the rear, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes.

The cabin houses two rows of bench seating trimmed in red vinyl with silver patterned inserts, and matching upholstery extends to the door panels. Textured aluminum trim adorns the body-color dashboard, and additional appointments include a heater/defroster, an analog clock, Bel Air-branded floor mats, and a push-button AM radio. The driver’s door is said to be hard to open from inside the vehicle.

The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a 120-mph speedometer flanked by engine temperature and fuel level gauges. An Auto Meter 7k-rpm tachometer is mounted below the heater controls. The five-digit odometer was reportedly reset to zero at the time of the refurbishment and now shows 1k miles, though total mileage is unknown.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission, which was rebuilt and fitted with a replacement clutch kit in August 2016. A service invoice from May 2023 recommends replacing the clutch pedal linkage. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery below.
