This 1971 Pontiac GTO hardtop was refurbished before the current owner’s 2018 acquisition. It is powered by a 400ci V8 mated to a Muncie four-speed manual transmission, both of which were overhauled during the refurbishment, and the exterior was repainted in Adriatic Blue. Equipment includes a body-color Endura front bumper, aftermarket headlights, a twin-scoop hood, an H-pipe exhaust system, 14? Rally II wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, a limited-slip differential, and a center console with a Hurst shifter. A high-performance audio system with an Alpine receiver, an amplifier, and a 10? subwoofer was installed in 2020. This GTO hardtop is now offered on dealer consignment with a factory build sheet, PHS Automotive Services documentation, refurbishment records, and a clean California title.

The car left the factory finished in Adriatic Blue (24) and was repainted during the refurbishment completed under prior ownership. Exterior elements include a color-keyed Endura front bumper, aftermarket headlights, a twin-scoop hood, sport mirror housings, and quad exhaust outlets. Close-up photos of the paint and trim are provided in the gallery.

The front bucket seats and rear bench were reupholstered in blue vinyl in 2013, at which point the headliner, visors, door panels, parcel shelf, and kick panels were replaced. The cabin is equipped with woodgrain trim, a Hurst shifter, a heater, and engine-turned trim, and an Alpine Bluetooth receiver, high-performance speakers, an amplifier, and a 10? subwoofer were installed in 2020. Rust is noted on the trunk floor.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer flanked by a tachometer and a fuel gauge. An aftermarket coolant temperature gauge is mounted below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 15k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 400ci L78 V8 is equipped with a single four-barrel carburetor and a dual-snorkel air cleaner, and it was factory rated at 255 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque. The engine was rebuilt circa 2002, with work including replacing the pistons and balancing the crankshaft. An oil change was completed in August 2024. Handwritten refurbishment records are displayed in the gallery.
