This 1976 Porsche 914 was acquired in 1993 by its current owner, who has since added approximately 80k miles. The car is powered by a 2.0-liter flat-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and has been refinished in red over a refreshed red tartan and black interior. Features include a black removable roof panel, 15? steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and a VW-branded cassette player. Service in 2021 consisted of changing the oil and replacing interior trim pieces. This 914 is offered on dealership consignment with service records dating back to the 1990s and a clean California title.
The car was delivered new in Scarlet Red (L31M) and has been refinished. Features include a removable Targa roof panel, black bumpers with guards, and pop-up headlamps. The selling dealer states that a pull handle is installed on the rear deck lid release in place of the removed push button, and that the top gasket was replaced under current ownership. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below.
This is a re-list after the vehicle previously sold on BaT in May 2021 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase due to circumstances outside of their control. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle.
Steel 15? wheels have been finished in black and silver and are mounted with 195/60 Dunlop D60 A2 tires. Disc brakes are equipped at all four corners.
The interior features fixed-back bucket seats that have been re-covered with red tartan inserts. Checkered floor mats protect the black carpeting, and a VW-branded cassette stereo is mounted in the dashboard. Interior trim pieces were replaced in 2021.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer with a 5,600-rpm redline, a 150-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows just under 21k miles and has rolled over. The current owner has added approximately 80k miles to the car since 1993. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.0-liter flat-four was rated at 95 horsepower and 116 lb-ft of torque when new. The selling dealer states that the car has been fitted with a replacement muffler, fuel tank, and stainless steel fuel lines. Results from a California smog test are provided in the photo gallery.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle, which was reportedly fitted with a new clutch approximately 10k miles ago. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
Service records dating back to the 1990s are included in the sale.
