This 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera RS Tribute is currently available for bidding at Bring A Trailer Auctions.
This Carrera comes from a very enthusiastic Porsche collector from the San Francisco Bay Area.
Noted Porsche builder and restorer, Tom Martenot, oversaw the build from top to bottom out of his Deutsche Motorsports workshop in Concord, California.
Tom rebuilt the engine, approximately 5 years ago, which is a stock 3.2-liter motor with Carrillo rods, 964 mounted induction system with a Haltech injection, and a slight upgrade to the cam shafts.
Transmission is a rebuilt European type 915 that felt tight and responsive under local driving conditions.
He also rebuilt the suspension with larger sway bars and links - upgraded all around for a road worthy touch yet a track like feel.
Paint work was entrusted to a shop local to Martenot and was performed to a very high standard.
Very good panel fit all around. Doors shut correctly. Excellent glass and bright work. Sigla windshield.
Brand new Ricarro sport seats are installed, with less than 350 miles of seat time.
Dash is perfect. No rips, tears or splits in the upholster. Brand new carpet kit is installed. Headliner is in excellent condition.
7 & 8’s 15” Fuchs are solid and mounted on newer tires, 205/65R 15 (front), 225/60R 15 (rear).
Exhaust system and headers are in great condition.
Undercarriage pictures show a very clean lower end of the motor, Bilstein Shocks, brake pads & calipers, hardware & linkage throughout. Floor pan is original.
Final assembly was also done under Tom’s care, wherein he added many new-old-stock and desirable take-off parts. Real factory ‘RS’ rear fenders, front ‘S’ spoiler, Carrera oil cooler and others.
Car has an aftermarket Carrera ‘RS’ ducktail decklid and rear bumper – both fiberglass.
Less than 1,000 miles have been accumulated on the engine and build.
A great tribute car to one of the best ever built.
All inspections welcome. We ship world wide.
