Vehicle Overview
Ending Tuesday December 5th at 11:25am PST on Bring a Trailer Auctions : 1973 Porsche 914 2.0 This 1973 Porsche 914 is powered by an air-cooled 2.0L flat-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in yellow over beige upholstery. Equipment includes 15? Fuchs-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a removable Targa top, fog lights, bright-finished bumpers, and a Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM push-button radio. The car was listed on BaT in November 2022 and was subsequently acquired by the current owner. Work under current ownership included replacing the push rod tube seals and rebuilding the transaxle. This 914 is now offered on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual, partial service records, a tool roll, and a clean California title in the current owner’s name. The car left the factory finished in Sunshine Yellow (L31K) and was repainted under previous ownership. Exterior details include pop-up headlights, fog lights, a black removable Targa top, and bright-finished trim, bumpers, and side mirrors. Fuchs-style 15? alloy wheels are mounted with 205/65 Falken Sincera SN201 A/S tires that show 2021 date codes. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The fixed-back bucket seats are trimmed in beige upholstery joined by color-coordinated carpet and door panels. Interior elements include three-point seat belts, a center console, a locking glove compartment, and a Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM push-button radio. The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and a fuel level gauge, while an analog clock and gauges for engine temperature and voltage are housed in the center stack. The five-digit odometer is said to have rolled over and is currently inoperative. True mileage is unknown. The mid-mounted 2.0L flat-four features Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection. Corrosion in the engine bay was repaired during an engine-out service under previous ownership, and an oil change and valve adjustment were performed along with the replacement of the pushrod tube seals in January 2023. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle that was rebuilt by Aase Motors of Fullerton, California in January 2023. An aftermarket exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler has been fitted. An owner’s manual, partial service records, and a tool roll are included in the sale.
