This 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL500 is finished in Pewter Silver Metallic over Anthracite leather, and it is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-retractable hardtop, 18? five-spoke wheels, xenon headlights, heated and ventilated seats, a Bose sound system, and COMAND navigation. The car has been registered in California since August 2004, and it was acquired by the current owner in July 2021. The brake fluid, coolant, motor mounts, front thrust arms, and spring-link bushings were changed in March 2020 along with the brake pads, sensors, and rotors. This R230 SL has 61k miles and is now offered on dealer consignment with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The car is finished in Pewter Silver Metallic (723) and features a power-folding convertible hardtop, xenon headlights, front fog lamps, fender air vents, a deployable roll bar, and dual exhaust outlets. Scrapes on the underside of the front bumper cover are shown in the image gallery below.

Chrome-finished 18? five-spoke wheels are wrapped in 255/40 front and 285/35 rear Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires. The car features an Active Body Control suspension as well as an electronic stability program and Automatic Slip Control. Service in March 2020 included a brake-fluid flush and replacement of the front thrust arms, spring-link bushings, and brake pads, sensors, and rotors.

The interior features heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable seats upholstered in Anthracite leather that extends to the door panels, while contrasting black leather covers the upper dashboard and center console. Burl walnut wood accents the cabin, and additional appointments include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a wind deflector, a Bose sound system, and COMAND infotainment with navigation.

The leather- and wood-trimmed steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 61k miles.

The 5.0-liter V8 was factory rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque when new. The motor mounts were replaced in March 2020 when a coolant flush was also performed.
