This 1956 Mercedes-Benz 190SL is finished in Fire Engine Red over tan leather and is powered by a 1.9-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a tan convertible top, 13? steel wheels with body-color hubcaps, dual Weber side-draft carburetors, and a Becker Mexico AM/FM radio. The car was purchased by the owner in 1972, and it is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve in California as part of The LeVett Collection with an owner’s manual and a clean California title.

The car left the factory in Fire Engine Red (534) and has been repainted. Features include a tan convertible top, a matching top boot, and an aftermarket driver-side mirror. Photos of exterior imperfections are provided in the gallery.

The steel 13? wheels wear chrome trim rings, body-color hubcaps, and Firestone wide-whitewall tires. The car is equipped with a double-wishbone front suspension, rear swing axles with coil springs, and power-assisted drum brakes.

The cabin features low-back bucket seats upholstered in tan leather as well as matching door panels and dashboard trim. The seats have been re-dyed. Appointments include a Becker Mexico AM/FM radio, lap belts, an analog clock, and a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror. Wear is visible on the seats, door panels, and dashboard, the steering wheel center emblem and radio dial glass are cracked, and lettering is missing from the radio display.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 14k miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 1.9-liter M121 inline-four is equipped with dual Weber side-draft carburetors. The fuel pump was replaced and a safety inspection was performed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a fully synchronized four-speed manual transmission. Corrosion on the underside can be seen in the gallery.

The car’s chassis number is 1210426502338. The VIN on the title is 190SL6502338. The car is not currently registered.
