This Lime Gold 1969 Ford Mustang GT convertible was acquired new by the seller’s family in California, and it was stored for approximately 35 years before it was recommissioned in 2021. The car was specified with a 351ci Windsor V8 equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and linked to a three-speed automatic transmission, along with a powered black top, Dark Ivy Gold deluxe upholstery, power steering and front disc brakes, and a JVC CD stereo. Now with under 89k miles, this Mustang convertible is offered on dealer consignment with handwritten records, black California plates, and a California title.
The car was acquired by the seller’s grandfather new in September 1968. It retains the yellow-on-black California plates shown in the images.
The car is finished in Lime Gold and features a powered black soft top, black side stripes, grille lights, and a hood scoop. The paint shows wear commensurate with age and use as displayed in close-up photos provided in the gallery, and the windshield has a chip.
The 14? styled-steel wheels wear 205/70Hankook Kinergy tires mounted in 2021. At the same time, the master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, sway bar bushings and end links, and idler arm were replaced.
The car was specified with Dark Ivy Gold deluxe upholstery, the Interior Decor Group, tinted windows, and a JVC CD stereo.
The steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary guages. The five-digit odometer shows under 89k miles, all of them added by the owner’s family.
The 351ci Windsor V8 was equipped from the factory with a four-barrel carburetor. The battery, ignition components, fuel hoses and filter, coolant hoses, and radiator cap were replaced as part of the recomissioning work.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
