This 1937 Ford Model 78 station wagon is finished in gray on the steel body panels with wood sides over tan upholstery and is powered by a 221ci flathead V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black vinyl roof, sliding side windows, a rear-mounted spare wheel, three rows of seating, and styled wheels with body-color hubcaps and chrome trim rings. The car was acquired by the current owner in September 2021 and is said to have been refurbished under prior ownership. This Model 78 Deluxe wagon is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean California title.

The steel body panels were refinished in gray during a refurbishment under prior ownership. Exterior features include wood paneling, rubber-lined running boards, a black vinyl roof cover, sliding side windows, a rear-mounted spare with a body-color cover, and chrome bumpers and brightwork. Body-matching 16? styled steel wheels wear V8-stamped covers and are mounted with Garfield four-ply whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by manual drum brakes at all four corners.

The cabin features three rows of bench seating upholstered in tan vinyl with wood door panels, a slat roof, and a body-color steel dashboard. Equipment includes manual-crank windows, a locking glove compartment, sliding side windows, and a floor-mounted shifter.

A three-spoke banjo-style steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for oil pressure, amperage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 51k miles, and true chassis mileage is unknown.

The 221ci flathead V8 is topped with a single carburetor and was factory rated at 85 horsepower.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a floor-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
