This 1989 Ferrari Mondial T cabriolet is powered by a 3.4-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Rosso Corsa over beige Connolly leather, and equipment includes a black convertible top, a beige convertible top boot, 16? five-spoke alloy wheels, an aftermarket muffler, a gated shifter, an Alpine CD stereo, and air conditioning. The car was acquired by the owner in 2014, and is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve in California as part of The LeVett Collection with a clean California title.
The Pininfarina-designed Mondial T features body-color bumper covers as well as restyled side air intakes, door handles, and fenders compared to earlier examples. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a black convertible top, a beige convertible top boot, pop-up headlights, integrated front fog lights, black lower bodywork, and quadruple exhaust outlets. Paintwork is said to have been performed under prior ownership. The right-side convertible latch is broken.
The 16? five-spoke alloy wheels were mounted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires in preparation for the sale. The car is equipped with power steering and an adjustable suspension, while braking is handled by four-wheel vented anti-lock discs.
The four-place cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in beige Connolly leather along with a color-coordinated lower dashboard, center console, and door trim. Interior features include a gated shifter, an Alpine CDA-9811 CD stereo, power windows, and air conditioning. Interior flaws are depicted in the gallery.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 25k miles, approximately 1,300 of which were added under current ownership.
The longitudinally mounted 3.4-liter F119D V8 features two overhead camshafts per cylinder bank, dry-sump lubrication, and Bosch Motronic digital engine management for a factory rating of 300 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. The left fuel pressure regulator, the oxygen sensors, and the battery were replaced in April 2019, at which time the power steering hydraulics were serviced. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Photos of the underside condition are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.
The California title carries a Duplicate notation. The car has been fitted with an aftermarket muffler and last passed a California emissions test in 2013. The registration is also expired.
The LeVett estate will donate a portion of the winning bid on this auction to the Doris Day Animal Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Public Charity founded in 1978.
