Vehicle Overview

1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000

This 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 is finished in green over brown, and its 2.0-liter inline-four is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Other features include 14? Campagnolo wheels, Wilwood front brake calipers, and SPICA fuel injection. The car was removed from storage in Seattle, Washington in 2017, and subsequent service included rebuilding the SPICA pump and replacing the fuel lines, fuel relays, powertrain mounts, and steering box. The current owner acquired the vehicle in a July 2019 BaT Auction. This GTV 2000 is now offered on dealership consignment in California with a clean Montana title under the current owner’s LLC.

The Alfa Romeo 105- and 115-series coupes were designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Bertone. This example was delivered new in Verde Muschio Chiaro (227), and the selling dealer states that it was refinished at some point. Features include a front lip, chrome-finished bumpers and trim, differing quarter-panel badges, and Bertone fender badges. Scuffs are noted in the lower portions of the rocker panels, and rust is noted around the passenger-side quarter window. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below.

Gold-finished 14? Campagnolo wheels show Alfa Romeo castings and are mounted with Vredestein Sportrac 5 tires. The four-wheel disc-brake system utilizes Wilwood calipers up front, and the steering box reportedly was replaced during previous ownership.

The interior is equipped with bolstered seats with brown vinyl upholstery and matching door panels, which are contrasted by black carpeting. Other features include a textured headliner, wood trim on the front-facing surfaces of the black dashboard, and Alfa Romeo–stamped doorsills.

A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Jaeger instrumentation that includes an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows just under 22k miles, approximately 50 of which have been added under current ownership; true mileage is unknown.

The 2.0-liter inline-four features twin camshafts and has been fitted with a 123ignition electronic ignition system. Service during previous ownership included rebuilding the SPICA fuel-injection pump as well as replacing the fuel lines, fuel relays, and powertrain mounts. The oil was changed in January 2021 in preparation for the sale.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery. A walk-around video is below.
