This 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 is a black-over-black coupe that spent time in Texas and California before being acquired by the current owner in 2006. Power is provided by a 3.6-liter flat-six that drives all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle, and it is equipped with a sport suspension, a sunroof, cruise control, and 18? Turbo Twist wheels. Work completed within the last 2k miles included the replacement of the valve cover gaskets, belts, and spark plugs. This 993 C4 coupe shows 30k miles and is now offered on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean California title.

The car is finished in black (L741) and features headlight washers, fog lights, heated power-adjustable mirrors, black bumperettes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. The Carfax report lists damage to the rear of the car in January 2019, and the selling dealer states this was sustained backing the car into a garage door and that the rear bumper cover was replaced as a result. A blemish has been touched up on the front bumper, and the selling dealer notes imperfections on the rear stone guards.

Silver-finished 18? Turbo Twist wheels are wrapped in Falken Pro GS Sport A/S tires measuring 225/40 up front and 265/35 out back. The car features an Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and the 993 was the first 911 to feature multi-link rear suspension. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. Records indicate the ABS unit was repaired in May 2017, and the brake accumulator was replaced when the car had 28k miles. The selling dealer notes chips in the finish on the wheels. Photos of paint meter readings are provided in the gallery below.

The power height-adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in black leather with painted seatbacks complemented by a color-coordinated dash, center console, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include cruise control, 911 Carrera 4-branded floor mats, and an aftermarket Alpine CD stereo. The air conditioning does not work.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, a Quarz analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer indicates just under 30k miles, approximately 7k of which were added under current ownership.

The air-cooled 3.6L flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. All 12 spark plugs were replaced in July 2016, and the valve cover gaskets and spark plug wires were replaced when the car had 28k miles. The alternator shroud, hood struts, and air conditioning and drive belts were replaced in January 2018. The car most recently passed a California emissions inspection in March 2022.

Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.

The options code sticker is present under the front hood and reveals the following information:

  • 030 – Sports suspension
  • 329 – Becker Porsche CR-210 cassette stereo
