This 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SL was refinished in blue over beige upholstery during previous ownership, and it is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a blue soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, Bosch mechanical fuel injection, 14? Bundt alloy wheels, disc brakes, and a Becker AM/FM stereo. The fuel pump, fuel filter, and various fuel hoses were replaced in 2019, and the car is said to have spent approximately two decades with its previous owner before it was acquired by its current owner in 2022. This W113 SL is now offered on dealer consignment with a June 2019 service invoice and a clean California title.

The car was delivered new in Horizon Blue (304), and it was refinished in its current shade of blue during previous ownership. Features include a dark blue soft top, chrome-finished bumpers with guards, and a twin-tipped exhaust that terminates on the passenger side. Silver-finished 14? Bundt alloy wheels are mounted with older 195/70 Michelin Defender tires. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners.

The interior features beige upholstery on the seating surfaces. Blue carpeting covers the floors, while a Becker Grand Prix AM/FM stereo is located adjacent to a VDO-Kienzle clock in the dash. The selling dealer states that the R12-based air conditioning does not blow cold and notes depleted seat foam in the driver’s seat, cracks in the dashboard, and rips in the upholstery.

A two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a cluster of vertical auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 89k miles. True mileage is unknown.

The 2.8-liter inline-six utilizes Bosch mechanical fuel injection. The fuel pump, the fuel filter, and various fuel hoses were replaced in June 2019.
