This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS hardtop coupe has been refinished in gold over green with a black vinyl roof, and a GM ZZ430 350ci V8 crate engine has been installed along with a Richmond six-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a narrowed 12-bolt rear axle with 4.30:1 gears and a limited-slip differential, 17? wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, modified suspension, a front bench seat, an AM/FM radio, added air conditioning, and SS badging. The current owner acquired the car in 2017. This modified Chevelle is now offered on dealer consignment as part of the Mohr Imports Monterey Collection Sale with a copy of its broadcast sheet, paperwork for the crate engine, and a clean California title.

The car was delivered new in Olympic Gold (65) and has been refinished, featuring a black vinyl top, a driver-side mirror, SS badging, chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets.

Chrome-finished 17? wheels with Cragar S/S center caps are mounted with 245/45 front and 275/40 rear BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires. The car is equipped with unassisted steering as well as power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with Baer front calipers and cross-drilled and slotted rotors. The suspension is said to have been modified with B-body spindles, tubular control arms, and aftermarket components in the rear.

The car received Midnight Green (795) upholstery from the factory. Interior features include a split-folding front bench, a tilting steering column, a curved Long shifter handle with a black knob, an AM/FM radio, an eight-track player, and SS396 emblems. Air conditioning was added and utilizes the factory heater box.

A two-spoke steering wheel with SS badging sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a clock, and a 7k-rpm tachometer surrounded by auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 1,400 miles. True mileage is unknown.

The GM ZZ430 small-block V8 crate engine displaces 350ci and was rated at 430 horsepower upon its introduction in 1999; the valve covers are engraved with the GM Performance Parts and ZZ430 logos along with serial number 258. Stahl headers feed a dual exhaust system with Dynomax mufflers.

Power is delivered to the wheels through a Richmond six-speed manual transmission and a narrowed 12-bolt rear axle with a limited-slip differential and 4.30:1 gears.

A copy of the broadcast sheet is provided above, and it indicates that the car was delivered with SS equipment such as an “EA” steering wheel, an “R” fan shroud, “YA” wheels, and “F70” tires.
