This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was delivered new to Connell Chevrolet of Costa Mesa, California and was registered in the state until moving to Michigan in 2005. It underwent a body-off refurbishment in the late 2000s and subsequently received an NCRS Second Flight award. The car is powered by a 427ci L36 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in Marina Blue over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a removable hardtop, a black soft top, 15? turbine-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, side exhaust pipes, power steering, an AM/FM radio, and retractable headlights. This C2 was acquired by the current owner in 2015 and is now offered on dealer consignment as part of the Mohr Imports Car Week Collection: Postcards from Monterey with a clean Montana title.
The fiberglass body is finished in Marina Blue (976) and was repainted during a body-off refurbishment under prior ownership. Features include a removable hardtop, a black soft top, a black-striped stinger hood, retractable headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and a side-exit exhaust system with heat shields.
The turbine-style 15? wheels are mounted with 205/75 front and 265/75 rear BFGoodrich tires. The car features a fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car is equipped with power steering and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include headrests, a heater, a vertical push-button AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership.
The 427ci L36 V8 is equipped with a single four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 390 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
The engine stamping is shown above. The IM suffix corresponds with a 390-horsepower, 427ci L36 V8 for use with a manual transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
