This 1955 Chevrolet Cameo pickup was refurbished and modified from approximately 2011 to 2014 with work including a repaint in burgundy with pinstriping as well as installation of a bamboo and cherry wood bed and a custom black and gray interior with leather and suede upholstery. Power comes from a 454ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional features consist of a bed cover, 17? and 18? wheels, a Chevelle front clip, front disc brakes, an aftermarket fuel tank, AutoMeter gauges, Vintage Air climate control, and an Alpine stereo. Approximately 7k miles are said to have been added since completion of the project, and the current owner’s late father acquired the truck in 2018. This modified Cameo is offered on dealership consignment with service records and a clean California title.

The truck was refinished in burgundy in 2014 by Eric’s Auto Body & Paint of Redwood City, California. Custom pinstriping adorns the sides and tailgate and surrounds the door handles and headlights. The brightwork was refreshed, and the paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below.

The inside of the bed has been trimmed in bamboo and cherry wood with carpeted sides. The top of the bed cover is finished to match the exterior and utilizes gas shocks.

Silver-finished 17? front and 18? rear slotted wheels are mounted with Falken Ziex all-season tires. A Chevelle front end is said to have been utilized, and the power-assisted brake system features front discs and rear drums. The shocks were replaced, and the suspension was reportedly modified by Performance Fabrication of San Carlos, California.

The interior has been redone by Custom Tops, Inc. of Redwood City and features seats and door panels upholstered in black leather with suede inserts. Black carpeting and matching mats cover the floors, and a suede headliner has been fitted. Amenities include a Vintage Air climate control system and an Alpine stereo with USB and Bluetooth connectivity. The truck is said to have been rewired using a Painless Wiring kit.

The Billet Specialties 14? steering wheel is mounted to an Ididit steering column. White AutoMeter instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and three auxiliary gauges, while an analog clock is mounted in the center of the dashboard. The digital odometer shows approximately 7k miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The 454ci V8 is said to have been installed by Performance Fabrication in San Carlos. Features include finned 454-branded valve covers, a matching air cleaner, an aluminum radiator, and a dual exhaust with a crosspipe.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed TH400 automatic transmission, while the rear axle features a 3.43:1 final-drive ratio. An aftermarket fuel tank has also been added, and additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.

Service records detailing work completed during the build process are included in the sale.
