This 2001 BMW Z8 is one of a reported 319 examples that left the factory in Topaz Blue Metallic. The car is said to have remained with the original owner until the current owner’s 2005 purchase, and they have added approximately 25k of the 27k miles. Power is provided by a 4.9-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission, and it has a Creme and Black Nappa leather interior. It features a color-matched removable hardtop, a black soft top, 18” split-spoke wheels, xenon headlights, heated power-adjustable sport seats, a six-disc CD changer, a Harman Kardon sound system, navigation, and air conditioning. This Z8 is offered on dealer consignment by Mohr Imports, a BaT Local Partner, as part of their Monterey Car Week Collection with records, correspondence, literature, a hardtop stand, magazines, memorabilia, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The Z8 features bodywork designed by Henrik Fisker with inspiration from the BMW 507 roadster, and the aluminum body panels are mounted over an aluminum spaceframe.

This example is finished in Topaz Blue Metallic (364) and features a color-matched removable hardtop and a black soft top. Additional equipment includes xenon headlights with washers, front fender air extractors with BMW roundels, polished mirror caps, dual exhaust outlets, and neon taillights and turn indicators.

The 18” split-spoke wheels are mounted with Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires. The four-wheel disc brake system is equipped with Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), and additional features include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and All-Season Traction (ASC).

Of the 139 Topaz Blue-finished Z8 examples produced, just 37 left the factory with Creme and Black Nappa leather upholstery. Amenities include a six-disc CD changer, navigation, a Harman Kardon sound system, leather-wrapped roll hoops, air conditioning, and cruise control.

The banjo-spoke steering wheel features silver trim within a leather-wrapped rim. Centrally mounted instrumentation includes a 155-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer with an integrated analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 27k miles, approximately 25k of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.9-liter S62 V8 was shared with the contemporary E39 M5 and features double-VANOS variable valve timing for a factory-rated output of 394 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. The BMW Performance kit was reportedly fitted in 2009, and the thermostat, air-mass meters, and rear main seal were replaced in June 2026.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.

Over 100 pieces of BMW Z8 memorabilia are included in the sale, and a four-page seller-provided list of the included items is shown in the gallery below.
