This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro convertible was overhauled in 2009 by Chris Alston’s Chassisworks of Sacramento, California, and it was acquired by the current owner in 2019. Work in 2009 included refinishing the car in orange with black stripes, refreshing the color-coordinated interior, and installing a 572ci V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional features include a black soft top, RS-style headlights, 17? American Racing wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, coilover suspension, a limited-slip rear differential, Vintage Air climate control, an aftermarket stereo, and a subwoofer. This modified Camaro is now offered on dealership consignment in California with receipts and a clean Arizona title.

The car was refinished in orange with black stripes in 2009, and it features a black soft top, chrome bumpers with guards, a cowl-induction hood, and RS-style headlight doors, as well as Camaro, RS, SS, and 572 badging. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below.

American Racing Torq Thrust 17? wheels are mounted with Riken Raptor ZR front tires paired with Nitto NT555 rear rubber, which show 2013 date codes. Each corner is equipped with four-piston Wilwood brake calipers paired with cross-drilled rotors, and the suspension has been modified with an aftermarket sway-bar kit as well as a VariShock coilover rear suspension. Power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering has also been added.

The interior features bolstered bucket seats and a rear bench with black upholstery and orange houndstooth inserts. Woodgrain trims the shifter surround, and the black carpeting is protected by rubber mats. A Vintage Air climate-control system has been added along with an aftermarket cassette stereo with iPod compatibility, which is paired with a Hertz subwoofer in the trunk.

A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer. An array of auxiliary gauges is located in the console ahead of the shifter, where a VDO water-temperature gauge has been mounted to the underside of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 3k miles, approximately 200 of which have been added under current ownership.

The 572ci V8 is a GM Performance crate engine that is teamed with Holley fuel injection as well as a Flowmaster exhaust system. The selling dealer notes that the firewall has been replaced.

A Kessler Engineering conversion kit was utilized to install a five-speed TKO 600 manual transmission. The Strange Engineering rear axle houses a 9? Detroit Truetrac limited-slip differential, and traction bars have been added. Additional photos of the underside and suspension are presented in the gallery below.

A number of receipts from the build will be included with the car, as will an owner’s manual and paperwork for aftermarket parts.

A video tour of the car with it idling is provided above.
