Engine & Drivetrain

Power comes from a numbers-matching 3.0L flat-six paired with the original 5-speed manual transaxle and has had the Carrera chain tensioner update. The Type 915/63 5-speed manual transaxle (#) is also original to the car. All mechanicals are stock aside for the desired chain tensioner update (installed in 1993.)

 

Exterior

The Grand Prix paint (color code 905) finish is shown from multiple angles in the photo gallery and is in good condition after a noted respray in its life. Driver side door showing some discoloration from the rest of the body.

A set of Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires (205/55 ZR 16, 225/50 ZR 16) are presently mounted on stock Fuch rims in the standard ride height. A set of OEM  ATS rims comes with the car.

Stock Hella headlamps with factory sugar scoop rings.

 

Interior

Refurbished front seats in the correct factory material. Door cards & headliner are in excellent condition along with the original rear parcel shelf. Black/Blue CoCo Mats sit on top of good original carpets.

OEM radio and uncut speaker grills installed along with the correct 85 MPH original speedometer is present.

 

Service History

The seller purchased this car in January of 2017 and has added around 4,000 miles since.

Recent service includes an A/C recharge with R12 in March of 2019 by Classic Coach Works of Monterey, CA.

New Pirelli tires & wheel refinishing in June of 2018.

Annual fluid service in July of 2018 by David Loop European of Monterey, CA.

New front and rear rotors & brake discs, caliper kits and brake fluid flush, spark plug wires, distributor cap, alternator, fuel sending unit and throttle pivot bushings in February of 2017 by David Loop European.

New Catalytic converter, exhaust gaskets & oxygen sensor in January of 2017 by C&C Repair, Inc. of Monterey, CA.

This car was displayed at the 70 years of Porsche Historic Display at Rennsport Reunion VI in 2018 and the Porsche Werks Reunion in 2017.
