This 1957 Porsche 356A coupe was reportedly used for historical racing during previous ownership before being acquired and recommissioned for street use by the current owner in 2018. Refurbishment work during previous ownership included a repaint in metallic silver along with an interior refresh using green leather upholstery. Modifications include earlier beehive-style taillights, amber front fog lamps, retractable shoulder belts, 15? ventilated chrome wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and a replacement flat-four that was rebuilt using 86mm pistons and cylinder bores. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transaxle, dual Solex carburetors, front-seat headrests, and a custom under-dash panel with 12-volt charging ports. This 356A coupe is now offered on dealer consignment with a copy of its Kardex, its removed steering wheel, service records since 2019, and a clean California title.

Originally Meissen Blue (5703), the body was refinished in Silver Metallic during previous ownership and features red Mobil Pegasus logos on each front fender as well as a pair of amber fog lamps mounted to the front bumper. The selling dealer reports that the floor pans were replaced in the 1980s, and earlier beehive-style quad taillights have been fitted in place of the factory units.

15? Boyd Coddington reproduction wheels are wrapped in 195/65 Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires that were mounted in 2019. Four-wheel disc brakes were installed during previous ownership.

The cabin was refurbished during previous ownership with dark green leather upholstery from Autobahn Interiors and features front headrests, beige carpets, a green dash pad, and retractable shoulder belts. Coco Mats are fitted, and a custom panel below the dash contains two 12-volt charging ports and two USB ports.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames green-letter VDO instrumentation consisting of a 6k-rpm tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge for oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 250 miles, which is the distance driven since the 2019 engine rebuild, according to the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown.

The replacement flat-four bears number *711097*, identifying it as having been originally built as a 1600cc unit for use in a 1964 356C. The engine was rebuilt in 2019 using 86mm bores and corresponding pistons, and it was reinstalled with dual Solex carburetors and replacement parts including gaskets, spark plugs, ignition wires, a cap and rotor, and an ignition condenser.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.

The provided copy of the Kardex lists factory color codes, options, and a build date in June 1967.
