Excellent show car, a unique addition to your collection.
As the story goes built from the original GM molds. A guy that worked for GM in the W's kept some of the original factory molds and took them with him when he left in '55.
The frame was custom made to accommodate the body and the V8 engine and drivetrain.
White with Red. Hydra-Matic 3-speed automatic. Authentic fiberglass body with bump dimple on left front fender. Correct tooth grill with mesh-covered inset headlights. Rear bumperettes and "Rockeship" tail lights. Running gear is a GM 350 Mr. Good-wrench crate motor put in during the '70's. Non- numbers matching car. Engine is small block V8. Power steering, power brakes - front disc - rear drum.
Correct wheels and hubcaps. The chrome on the car is largely original '53 - as is the seats, windshield and bumpers.
Strong running car
California titled as 1953 Corvette, and CA registered.
No smog required.
No seat belts. Headlights non-functional, but indicators and brakes lights working. No top.
