1968 Porsche 912 Coupe (short wheel base) dry California car (built 06/06/1968)

Color: Red, repaint in 1995 (original color: Blood Orange (6809)

Runs very strong (big bore), drives and brakes as it should (compression 150, 150, 155, 150)
No rust at all, very straight and solid body, no dings
Very good paint (some minor flaws)
Car still sits at its original height

All 5 instruments work (odometer reads 22200, most likely 122200 total miles).
Much originality, i.e. refurbished wooden steering wheel/ gear shift lever, carpet (except trunk which is after market), Fuchs 6x15, original 1968 door panels with pockets, radio has been removed but can be hooked up easily, rain deflector shield for engine, rear bumper end caps, Porsche radio delete plate, original rubber floor mats, “American Safety” aircraft type seat belts, Bilstein jack.
Professional top engine overhaul (heads flycut, rod bearings, valves, push rod tubes renewed), compression very good, very recently adjusted Weber carburetors and valves), 1968 smog pump has been removed.
All transmission seals new, new clutch disc (clutch and shifting excellent),
new muffler/exhaust, new front and rear shocks, near new Michelin tires (1.500 miles), wheels have been aligned, new dor sill plates/ rubbers, new dash trim, seats repadded, and much more.....
No signs of accident (confirmed by technicians and wheel alignment guys).
Excellent car (between 1 and 2), but not concours. Everything works. Around 14.000 USD invested within past 6 months (got all receipts), one owner since 1996.
Car has been technically checked and adjusted by Monterey Porsche specialist garages.
Excellent repaint done 15 years ago, very good conition, original color was Blood orange (6809). Front side reflectors were removed during the repaint (1968 DOT one year only regulation, looks much better without, but I have two original front side reflectors if wanted).
Car had been sealed around the same time, therefore absolutely no rust (except very little surface rust here and there).
Dash had one crack at the common spot which has been professionally closed. Kardex comes with the car.
